NOBATA Misaki with silver medals on the podium

On June 5, NOBATA Misaki (2nd year in the School of Commerce) of Shooting Club won the silver medal in the 10m air rifle women's event at the ISSF World Cup Junior rifle shooting held in Suhl, Germany.
NOBATA came in second in the main competition, and in the finals, she battled for the top position until the end of the competition, scoring 249.7 points to take the silver medal. This was the first time a Japanese woman has won a medal in this tournament, which began in 2015.
MIURA Rio (3rd year in the School of Commerce) also participated in this tournament, finishing in 12th place.

Comment from Head Coach TSUBA Kyohei
This year's tournament was a competition between the next generation of athletes from various countries, and we are very pleased that NOBATA Misaki won the silver medal in such a competition. I also believe that we were able to prove that Japan is competitive against the world. Although MIURA Rio did not win a prize, she was able to grow so we look forward to her further success in the future.
