The Meiji University Center for Gender Equality and Diversity was established in February 2015 following an evolutional reorganization of the Gender Equality Promotion Committee. The aim is to contribute to the university’s management, education and research, and social development, by promoting gender equality and diversity in cooperation with international measures with due consideration for the societal changes affecting all members of Meiji University Incorporated and its affiliated academic institutions conduct their activities in accordance with the underlying philosophy, etc. of the Basic Law for a Gender-Equal Society (Act No. 78 of 1999).
We promote gender equality and diversity through harmonious cooperation in line with the Meiji University Basic Plan for Promoting Gender Equality (Plan period: Fiscal 2016 ~ 2019, Revised implementation after period: Fiscal 2020 ~ 2023) that has been drawn up to achieve this purpose.
