The concept behind the Kurokawa Field Science Center is to create a facility that is in harmony with the environment, nature, and surrounding community. Located close to the Ikuta Campus, the farm will make it possible for students to engage in year-round practical study. The farm will be designed to make maximum use of the natural resources in the Kurokawa region, with cultivation systems that enable highly efficient production through the use of cutting-edge technologies. The farm will also incorporate organic agriculture and other environmentally friendly systems. The Kurokawa facility will be a multipurpose urban farm that links the university with the surrounding local community.
