Prof. Ning Qi visited Nakano Campus with four faculty members of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL), Peking University (PKU) on November 28. This visit commemorates the cooperation agreement between SFL, PKU, and Meiji University's School of Global Japanese Studies (SGJS) and the Graduate School of Global Japanese Studies (GGJS).

The group joined a campus tour, where they examined poster presentations of GGJS students, and Prof. Ichiro Sugawara from Meiji Institute for Advanced Study of Mathematical Sciences (MIMS) explained about his research.

Prof. Ning Qi also gave a presentation to SGJS faculty and graduate students, introducing the rich traditions, as well as various researches and education in SFL, PKU.

Prof. Makiro TANAKA, Dean of GGJS, mentioned that "So far, the reading room at the PKU division of the Meiji University Manga Library has served as the base of the exchanges in the Pop-culture Studies field. I hope that the relationship between the two universities will deepen with further exchanges in a wide range of research fields."

We expect this will lead to further academic exchanges between both schools.
