GJS Virtual Lounge is open now!

Apr. 24, 2020

Out of concern for our students who are missing out on campus life due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a "Virtual Lounge" for students and faculty members has been created. A number of faculty members have agreed to participate in the Virtual Lounge.

A Virtual Lounge is an online space hosted by a faculty member of SGJS. Necessary information to access the lounge is available on the Oh-o! Meiji system. In the lounge, students will be able to communicate with other students and faculty members about various topics of interest, such as course offerings, club activities, etc. There is no pre-registration for the virtual lounge; students can just drop in.

On April 23, Professor Suzuki, the dean of the school, and Associate Professor Kotani hosted the Lounge and around ten first-year students dropped in. Some "senpai" students also attended the meeting.

The schedule of the other meetings are as follows. More meetings to be announced soon.

The SGJS has never done anything like this before, but we will try our best to relieve student concerns by holding these Virtual Lounges.
