Q. Can certificates be issued at convenience stores abroad?

A. Certificates cannot be issued at convenience stores abroad, but certificates can be mailed abroad through EMS delivery. Confirm that the country can receive EMS, and select ‘Receive by Post’ during certificate application.

Q. Can certificates be issued at convenience stores within the country when automatic certificate issuing machines within the campus are unavailable?

A. Issuance at convenience stores is available 24 hours a day. *If a multicopy machine at a convenience store is under maintenance the service may be unavailable. Alumni must receive approval after application.
 

Q. What if I forgot the type of certificate I selected to print?

A. To view the application status of a certificate, log in to the dedicated website from the school website and click ‘Application Number’ from ‘Certificate Application History’.

 

Q. What should I do if there are errors within the contents of the certificate that has been issued?
A. If there are errors within the contents of the certificate, contact the School Office right away.

Q. Can an application for certificate issuance be cancelled?

A. If payment is already completed, application details cannot be changed or cancelled. A refund is not possible. (When convenience store payment is selected and payment is not completed after web application, the application is automatically cancelled after a few days.)

 

Q. Is there something I must bring when receiving the certificate at the convenience store?

A. Be prepared to view the contents of the confirmation email. If the payment has not been completed you must pay at the cash register of the convenience store.

Q. What if I apply with incorrect detailsーsuch as inputting the incorrect date of birthーat the time of applying?

A. If the application details and the identification documents do not match, the application will be rejected by the system. An email will be sent to notify you of this. You must then start application from the beginning.

 

Q. If there has been a change to my name after graduation, is it possible to issue a certificate with the new name at the convenience store?

A.  A certificate with a new name cannot be issued at the convenience store. Select ‘Receive by Post’ and state in the remarks column that you wish to issue a certificate with your new name. If you selected convenience store issuance by mistake, you must start over and apply for issuance by mail. If payment has been completed, the application cannot be cancelled and the money cannot be refunded. (When convenience store payment is selected and payment is not completed after web application, the application is automatically cancelled after a few days.)

 

Q. Can I issue a digital copy of my certificate?

A. The School does not issue digitalized certificates.

Q. While issuing a certificate at the multicopy machine there is an error when inputting the user number.

A. The ‘O’ (alphabet) may be mistaken for ‘0’ (number) and vice versa. Please check if that is the case.
 

Q. I received an email notifying me that the application for certificate issuance was rejected. The email states that I will receive further information but I have not received any notification following that.

A. The system states that it will provide further information but no further notification will arrive. The reason for rejection of application is stated at the lower part of the email.
 

Q. I expect to graduate in September and would like to issue a certificate through web application. Can I issue the certificate at a convenience store?

A. If you expect to graduate in September and wish to receive a certificate of expected graduation, it cannot be issued at a convenience store. Select ‘Receive by Post’ when applying and state in the remarks column that you expect to graduate in September. If this is not stated in the remarks column, the certificate will be issued with the expected graduation date being in March. If the processing fees have been paid already, the process cannot be cancelled and the money cannot be refunded. (When convenience store payment is selected and payment is not completed after web application, the application is automatically cancelled after a few days.)

Q. The website for certificate issuance will not open.

A. The browser that you are using may not support the website. Internet Explorer does not support the website so please use another browser.

Q. The certificate printed at the multicopy machine in the convenience store has「複写」and「COPYprinted on it.

A. Certificates printed at the multicopy machines at convenience stores are embedded with text in order to prevent unauthorized copies. At times, depending on the convenience store, the machine may print the words '複写' and 'COPY' visibly. If you wish to replace the certificate, please call the School Office. After confirmation a replacement will be made.
 

Q. Can I change the name on the certificate issued at the convenience store?

A. The name registered at the time of enrollment will show up on the certificate. For students with non-Japanese names, the necessary letters may not be available, and names in kanji may show up partly in katakana or in some way differ from the name on identification documents. If you wish for a change to the name on a certificate issued at the convenience store, contact the School Office in order to mail the original printed certificate to the University. The University will mail the corrected certificate to you.
