Regional collaboration is one of the Center’s functions for outreach activities.

- Supporting archeological obsidian education at Wada Junior High School
- Participation in a committee for the investigating and preserving of a historic obsidian mining site from the Jomon age at the Hoshikuso Pass, Nagawa
- Participation in a committee for investigating a historic obsidian mining site from the Jomon age at the Hoshikuso Pass, Nagawa
- Supporting a local obsidian festival in Nagawa
- Supporting the excavation at the No. 1 mine-digging crater at the Jomon-age mining site at the Hoshikuso Pass, Nagawa
