Global Japanese Studies Student Committee (GJSSC) held an online event

Jul. 20, 2020

Global Japanese Studies Student Committee (GJSSC), a student committee promoting international exchange events at Nakano campus, held the first online event of the year "Study Abroad Diary" on May 30 and June 13. The event was organized by GJSSC members, aiming to connect with first-year students and talk about studying abroad. The event was held with the online application, Zoom, and about ten first-year students of the School of Global Japanese Studies (SGJS) joined.

As many members of GJSSC joined a study abroad program in their first or second year, they shared the experience and knowledge that they gained through their study, internship, and volunteer programs.

Participants said,
"It was great to listen to experiences abroad. After joining the event, I became more interested and motivated to prepare for studying abroad. ”
"I am now interested in studying in countries and cities that I had never thought about before.”

Since we cannot hold events on campus due to COVID-19, we will continue efforts to provide SGJS students the best opportunities to communicate with each other, while considering the ongoing situation.
