学生・教職員の皆さま
政府は，今月７日にも，東京，埼玉，千葉，神奈川の１都３県を対象に，特別措置法に基づく緊急事態宣言を発出する方向で調整しています。
これに伴い，まだ緊急事態宣言の期間や対象が決定していない段階ではありますが，１月８日からの授業実施を控え，本学の活動制限指針レベルを引き上げることにいたしました。
まず，授業（授業内試験を含む）に関して活動制限指針レベル３(https://www.meiji.ac.jp/koho/natural-disaster/6t5h7p000032pt0n-att/a1591842613861.pdf)への引上げを行います。
具体的には，１月８日，９日の「補講及び対面授業の振替実施日」（９日は通常授業実施日でもあります），１月１２日から１月２２日までの「通常授業実施日」，１月２３日の「補講及び対面授業の振替実施日」については，いずれもオンラインで実施します。
対面授業を予定していた授業科目や卒業論文，卒業研究，修士論文，博士論文の個別指導等についても極力オンラインで実施することとします。
また，授業以外の本学諸活動についても，８日から活動制限指針レベル３の体制で運営することを予定しています。
なお，今後改めて活動制限指針レベル３に基づく運営体制について詳細が決まり次第，速やかにお知らせいたします。

To all students, faculty and staff of Meiji University
Although an official announcement regarding the period and objectives of the said declaration has not been made by the central government, we at Meiji University have officially decided to take action in advance prior to the start of classes from January 8th as outlined below:
1. “Meiji University Activity Restriction Guidelines Level” Upgrade
The Meiji University Activity Restriction Guidelines Level will be upgraded to “LEVEL 3”, instead of the current Level 2. Under Level 3, all class sessions including class tests must be conducted online.

In principle, all classes will be conducted online. "Transfer dates for make-up classes and face-to-face classes" scheduled on January 8, 9 and 23 and those scheduled as regular term classes covering the period from January 12 to January 22 will be online. Planned face-to-face classes such as tutorials for research and graduate papers, master theses and doctoral dissertations will also be conducted online as far as possible.
The university assumes that activities, other than class sessions, will be conducted under Level 3 of the Meiji University Activity Restriction Guidelines. The details of these restrictions will be announced later, as soon as more information becomes available.

Notice concerning Class Sessions and Activities from January 8th, 2021
In response to the spread of the COVID-19 infection in the Tokyo metropolitan area, we anticipate that the Government of Japan will declare a state of emergency on January 7th. This will be based on the Special Measures Act and will apply to the Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa areas.
