住むところを決めてから14日以内に、在留カードを持参の上、お住まいの市区町村の役所へ行き、「転入届」・「住居地届出書」を提出してください（空港で在留カードが交付されなかった場合、住居地を市区町村に届け出た後、在留カードが入国管理局から簡易書留で郵送されます）。

転居したら14日以内にお住まいの市区町村の役所へ行き、「転入届」を提出してください。なお、転居先により、手続きの手順が異なります。以下を参考に、手続きを行って下さい。

① 転居前の市区町村役場窓口へ「転出届」を提出し、「転出証明書」を入手する。
（転居するおよそ14日前から「転出届」の提出が可能）
② 転居先の市区町村役場窓口へ「転出証明書」を持参し、「転入届」・「住居地届出書」を提出
