This website is intended for exchange students who will study at the School of Global Japanese Studies beginning in Fall Semester 2026.
All dates and times shown on this website are in Japan Standard Time (JST).
In addition to this website, please be sure to review
the exchange student website provided by the International Student Office, which will be updated in late August.

Orientation for English Track Exchange Students

1. Important Schedule

*If you do not plan to take Japanese language courses in the School of Global Japanese Studies, you do not need to take the Japanese Language Placement Test.

September 20 ~ “Provisional Enrollment” on Oh-o! Meiji system
**To access course materials through the Oh-o! Meiji system before the course registration period ends, you must complete the "Provisional Enrollment" process.

September 20 ~ October 6 MIND Introductory Course (Introductory course on the university network system) (Mandatory)
**All exchange students must take the MIND Introductory Course in order to have access to external Websites from a PC on campus and/or connect to the campus Wi-Fi. Please complete the course within the designated period.

**Please bring an identification document, either your passport or Japanese residence card, in order to receive your student ID card.

September 25, 9:00 a.m.  Result of Lottery and Release of Individual Class Schedule
**Please confirm via the Academic Affairs System that all courses for which you successfully registered are included in your timetable. If you are selected in a course lottery, the course will automatically appear in the Academic Affairs System, and no additional action is required.

 This booklet includes important information about course registration. Please make sure you read it carefully and register for courses during the designated period.
 Note:*Contents in this booklet are meant for regular degree-seeking English Track students. There are explanations about required courses and program completion requirements, but these do not apply for exchange students. 

3. Steps to Attend Courses

(1) Check all the documents listed on the above section 2.
(2) Exchange students will be able to log in to Oh-o!Meiji system and the Academic Affairs System from September 20. 
(3) Complete the “Provisional Enrollment” on Oh-o! Meiji system. This is NOT the official course registration. ▶See the Manual
(4) Attend the first class of the courses you are interested in, even before your course registration is finalized.
(5) Complete the official course registration during the designated registration period via the Academic Affairs System. 
(6) Confirm via the Academic Affairs System on September 25 that all courses for which you successfully registered are included in your timetable. If you are selected in a course lottery, the course will automatically appear in the Academic Affairs System.

 交換留学生は学期開始までに必ず確認すること。科目履修に関する重要な説明があります。

<履修の手引き>
 この手引きには履修登録に関する重要な情報が書かれていますので、履修登録期間前に必ず読んでください。※交換留学生に「卒業要件」や「必修科目」はありません。

3. 授業に参加する手順

(1) 上記「2.配布資料」を全て確認する。
(2) 交換留学生は、9月20日からOh-o!Meijiシステムと教務システムにログインできるようになります。
(3) Oh-o!Meijiシステム上で、「仮参加(履修登録前参加)」登録をする。これは正式な履修登録ではありません。➡マニュアル
(4) 正式な履修登録前であっても、履修を希望する科目の初回授業には必ず参加してください。
(5) 指定された期間に、教務システムを利用して、正式な履修登録を行ってください。
(6) 履修登録期間中に登録した科目が自身の時間割に反映されているか、9月25日に教務システムで必ず確認してください。抽選科目に当選した場合は、自動的に時間割へ反映されます。
