What brought you to study abroad in Japan? /

I have visited Japan three times before studying here. It has been my favorite country since I came here first time. When I had an opportunity to came here for exchange program, I didn’t hesitate to do so.

Why did you choose Meiji University? /

Meiji University is my destination because of the long history and popularity of the university. Meiji has great academic activities with high quality professors and also strong when it comes to sport competitions. Moreover, there are many campuses to study so each campus is not too crowded. Meiji’s facilities are also very good and convenient

What do you like about Meiji University? /

(1) What is your favorite place on the campuses of Meiji University? /

My favorite place on the campus has to be the liberty tower. During the period of studying at Meiji university, my classes mainly took place at the liberty tower so I had the opportunity to explore most of the floors. The tower has almost everything including classrooms, canteen, faculty office, and library. The building itself covers all facilities you will need and it is the place where local students and exchange students gathered too.

(2) What is your favorite subject (course) at Meiji University? /

Course title: Advanced Seminar (Lecturer: Prof. Unno)
My favorite course I took must be professor UNNO MOTOO’s seminar. Honestly at first, I never thought that the course would be this good. I have changed my thought since the first day that I met the professor. He is so kind and friendly with everyone in the class. The content of the class which involves culture discussions made students in class with different nationalities became close so fast. But I knew this wouldn’t be so great without the professor. He has a very high dedication and always try his best to make their students feel comfortable. This is why all the students love him. His field trips give me the experience I never got before. Therefore, this is my favorite course I have enrolled in my life.

How is your life in Japan? /

(1) What made you surprised during the study abroad in Japan? /

The most impressive thing here must be the discipline of Japan citizens. Every Japanese people has a good time management and they were on time every day. Even trains and transport system are on time and are managed closely and well organized. I would say it is one of most efficient culture in the world.

(2) Comparing with your student life in/at your home country/institution, do you find anything that you particularly enjoy as well as anything challenging for you in your student life here in Japan?

■Things you particulartly enjoy /
There’s so much say about spending time in my favorite country. I would say that I love everything in Japan. The people, food, culture, peacefulness, education, and more give me the highest level of experience I have ever imagined. I enjoyed every single day as an exchange student in Japan. Staying here make me want to go out every day to enjoy life out there.

■Things challenging for you / 大変なところ
The most challenging thing I have encountered must be the language barrier of course. Before I came here, I have learnt some of Japanese basics. However, once I started to talk to Japanese people. I started to get confused due to lack of vocabularies. I have tried my best to learn Japanese while communicating with my Japanese friends here. Japanese also tried their best to understand me and some of them tries to talk to me in English. That was so impressive.
